Night Nanny: The Secret Weapon Of Well Rested Mothers
After years of offering these services to clients only, night nanny services are now open to the public! Those first few weeks of #parenthood are difficult, returning to work can be a bit chaotic, and a hot shower + binging the latest Netflix show until you pass out can be so needed. 😴 Allow me to take a night or three of stress off your shoulders!
Caring for baby, helping with breastfeeding, and even help around the home…night nanny is where it’s at!
What’s a night nanny?
A night nanny is an god send for sleepless parents. Many of my clients attribute their sanity these services!
An infant caregiver that is a newborn expert, that help new parents achieve a restful night’s sleep so they have more energy to devote to their families and their work. Night nannies often help new parents to achieve a restful night’s sleep by getting up with the baby, feeding or bringing the baby to the nursing mom, changing the baby, rocking the baby, doing the baby’s laundry and more.
What’s included?
8-10 hours of consistent in home care of your newborn during the night
Breastfeeding support
Light help around the home such as laundry or dishes
Meal preparation
Emotional support
Is it right for me?
You may be thinking, “This sounds great — if you can afford it.” But contrary to what you may be thinking the service isn’t only an option for wealthy families. While it may be a luxury for some families, to others it’s a necessity. Especially here in Houston, most families are a two income household, which means that the postpartum/newborn stage is even more important with an impending return to work date.
Although out of reach for some, planning and budgeting in the months leading up to your newborns arrival can help make this a reality. I also suggest adding a night nanny or newborn care specialist to your registry! Having this expense set up where people can put in a portion of the financial investment can often be a miracle worker! (this works well for a birth doula or postpartum care as well)
